I found this delicate little leaf on a walk during a recent trip to California, its shape and shifting colors grabbing my attention. Something about its softness—and the tangle of slender leaves—felt like a challenge I needed to take on. And it WAS a challenge, with all the edges, layers, and shadows asking for patience. But I’m grateful I leaned into it, because the finished piece is one I’m truly proud of.
