This is a giant maple leaf that my mom brought home from California after a visit to my sister. It rained the entire time she was there but this leaf weathered the storm (wink, wink) and made its way back to South Dakota so I could paint it. There were also a lot of winter storms and political storms taking place while I was painting this one, so the name just seemed fitting. I do love how it turned out. The orange leaf tones paired with the moody blue background are a perfect color combination in my opinion. This is the largest leaf I have painted to date. Wired and ready to hang when it arrives in your home!
