I love the size of this gorgeous maple leaf! She’s a big one with lots of personality. I found this one on a walk in our Sioux Falls, SD neighborhood at the beginning of fall. I got to paint her before her colors changed too much. What I love most about this piece are the rips and tears on the leaf, proving that there is still so much beauty in imperfection. I actually think that those “scars” are what make leaves, and people for that matter, more interesting.
